Job Description

Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of Assembly.

Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates.

Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.

Operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, and fixtures.

Analyze and record test results, and prepare written testing documentation.

Inspect parts for surface defects.

Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.

Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.

Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as voltmeters.

Additional duties may be assigned as determined by management.


Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED certificate

6 - 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and understand blue prints, assembly drawings & pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.

Must provide required hand tools to complete assigned tasks.

Ability to use a variety of tools and precision measuring instruments.

Ability to stand for hours at a time.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 lbs.

Ability to use MIG & TIG welders and use of cutting torch would be an added benefit.

Ability to operate rider style forklift.
