Job Description

This position is located at our world headquarters: 10500 Seymour Ave, Franklin Park, IL 60131 (Near O'Hare International Airport)

Sloan is the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial plumbing systems and has been in operation since 1906. We are at the forefront of the green building movement and provide sustainable restroom solutions.  We manufacture water-efficient products including flush valves, electronic faucets, soap dispensing and sink systems along with vitreous china fixtures for commercial, industrial and institutional markets worldwide.

We have an immediate need for a Export Coordinator based at our world headquarters in Franklin Park, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter export orders and coordinate international shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, and shipping departments, for external customers and various Sloan internal departments.
  • Prepare export documentation for designated territories. Prepare performance quotes per pre-determined pricing structures.
  • Customer support - daily communication with customers, reps, distributors, and shipping to provide shipping information, order status, prices, some product information and technical assistance. 
  • Arrange order pickup, provide order status, research missing/damaged shipments, delayed shipment, product availability, prices, etc. 
  • Provide internal administrative support to department Vice President and Supervisor as required.
  • Review and submit expense reports, schedule meetings, prepare PowerPoint presentations, coordinate data on Excel spreadsheets, prepare weekly open order lists. Other support projects as assigned.
  • Job Requirements
    • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Attention to detail, good oral and written communication skills.
    • International customer support and documentation experience highly desirable.
    • Willing to take on new responsibilities as required.  
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience
