Assists with machine set-up, troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance service in order to ensure the timely delivery of quality products to meet customers’ requirements.



Your specific duties in this Industrial Maintenance Technician Assistant role may include:

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines; follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and engineering specifications; troubleshoots malfunctions.
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Performs mechanic tasks, including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Performs electronic adjustments and repairs to robotic equipment.
  • Installs, starts up, and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in accordance with OSHA requirements.
  • Informs appropriate management/engineers of potential electrical, mechanical, and electronic problems and inherent dangers involved.
  • Performs building maintenance and repairs.
  • Communicates frequently with associates, engineers, and supervisors regarding equipment/machine operations and problems.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Provides technical support for development efforts related to future production activities.
  • Serves as part of a cross-functional team to identify production efficiencies and improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Shift Hours:

    Must be able to work 1st and 2nd shift. 

    Pay Rate:
    $14-$15 per hour

    Job Requirements Industrial Maintenance Technician Assistant

    Additional qualifications for the Industrial Maintenance Technician Assistant role include:

    • Strong work experience and applied knowledge in the areas of machine, equipment, and building maintenance.
    • Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.
    • Must communicate effectively with production associates, engineers, and supervisors in order to diagnose and assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
    • Ability to work under strict timelines to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to process paperwork effectively and maintain computer records.
    • Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.
    • Team oriented.
    • Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
    • Experience with PLCs and /or industrial sewing machines a plus.
    • Forklift experience a plus.
    • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently. 
    • 90-hour temp to hire period.
