Job Description ASUMH seeks applicants for part-time seasonal Maintenance Specialists. 

Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. The position is responsible for, but not limited to, grounds-keeping, landscaping maintenance, and other maintenance duties. Some heavy lifting is required. Hourly rate of pay is $12.15 per hour.

 Application deadline is Sunday, April 30, 2017. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Responsible for assisting with landscaping, mowing, weedeating, edging and other landscaping jobs.

Mow and weed-eat around all flowerbeds, gates/entrances, and campus grounds.
1.Weed by hand & clean up flower beds using blower, edger, etc.
2.Pick up trash, litter, debris & tree limbs.
3.Inspect flower beds for insects/bugs & Sprays as needed for control.
4.Assist in trimming approx. 140 bushes using gas hedge trimmer.
5.Assist in h-trimming approximately 275 bushes.
6.Trim limbs hanging over streets & campus sidewalks.
7.Clear leaves, acorns, small limbs from walkways & building entrances.
8.Pick up fallen limbs & debris after storm damage.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines. Equivalent to four years high school, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, regularly lif tand/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
