Job Description
  • Doggett Machinery Services, a major distributor of John Deere construction equipment, has an excellent opportunity for a Service Administrator at its Baton Rouge, LA location. Responsibilities include assisting the Service Department with customer service needs, work orders, processing of equipment repairs, daily operations of shop functions, field service functions and delivery functions.
  • Other duties include:
  • - Providing service information to customers, scheduling customer service needs, adding segments to work orders containing job information
  • - Assisting in the appraisal and quote process for equipment repair.
  • - Coordinating parts and labor requirements with Service Manager for work orders.
  • - Assisting in scheduling shop assignments, field service work and delivery of equipment.
  • - Establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet schedules and deadlines.
  • - Opening and closing of work orders.
  • - Providing clerical assistance, including some correspondence and data entry.
  • - Developing positive customer relations by accurately communicating repair status and charges for equipment repairs.
  • - Greeting service customers and answering calls to schedule service appointments.
  • - Advising customers of estimated service and repair costs
  • - Reviewing details of service/repair invoice to ensure custumer understanding of services provided

    Job RequirementsHigh school diploma required. 2-4 yrs. experience in automotive/construction service administrator role with college or technical school certificate/degree preferred. Computer skills, including experience with Excel preferred. Excellent customer service/communication skills required.
