Job Title: Certified (or board eligible) Prosthetist & Orthotist
The Certified Prosthetist & Orthotist will join the Pediatric Orthotic and Prosthetic Services (POPS), a team of certified prosthetists, orthotists and specially trained technicians who manufacture and fit custom-designed braces and artificial limbs. The Prosthetist/Orthotist (CPO) provides direct orthotics and prosthetic care for patients. He/she assists physicians with prescription criteria, attends outreach clinics and provides in-services for the hospital staff as specified by the Director of O and P. The practitioner also modifies devices and directs the technicians in the fabrication of prosthetics and orthotics devices, assuring an organized and orderly work flow with reasonable delivery dates of devices to patients.
The employee will work closely with other certified prosthetists and orthotists, as well as with our pediatric patients.
American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics Required, or board eligible with a minimum certification in one discipline and one year experience.
