We are currently seeking a Wireline Field Engineer for the Bakersfield, CA facility.

Under general supervision, applies knowledge of Halliburton Cased Hole Wireline Technologies to independently provide basic services and tool operation to customers at the well site. Applies engineering, mechanical and geological principles to articulate basic data interpretations to clients from proprietary software and learns to coach clients through various drilling scenarios. Actively participates in the training and development of operators and Associate Field Professionals on all aspects of  Cased or Open Hole logging. Completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Science or other technical discipline is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 


Responsibilities

  • Actively participates in Company’s HSE program
  • Prepares and qualifies Wireline and Perforating equipment before and after each job
  • Runs standard logging products and services on  location
  • Prepares all required job reports, including equipment performance and utilization reports and other Key Performance Indicators (KPI)    
  • Actively participates in training and development of operators and other Field Professionals
  • Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities or directly impacts a revenue center’s viability or its quality of service via personal contributions
  • Foundational mechanical skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, pressure, rotating equipment, pulley systems and bearings and aptitude to apply foundational skills in hands on experience
  • Foundational electrical skills in electronics theory and distributed electricity and aptitude to apply foundational skills in hands on experience
  • Problem solving conveyed through troubleshooting issues using foundational mechanical and electrical skills
  • Understands HMS protocol and compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Service Quality (SQ) standards, practices and guidelines

  • Job Requirements

    Experience

    • BS degree in Engineering, Science or other Technical discipline preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job
    • Minimum of 1 years of experience in Cased or Open Hole Wireline field operations
    • Must be at least 21 years old
    • Valid Motor Vehicle Licensure (Driving history will be used to disqualify applicants and current incumbents)
    • CDL/Hazmat preferred but not required
    • Willingness to work in harsh climates
    • Ability to lift 60lbs
    • Will be required to pass a background and drug test
