Job Description

Seeking a full time, permanent Quality Manager to implement and maintain the Quality System to achieve TS 16949 / IATF 16949:2016 and other required certifications.

Manages Corrective Actions for customers. Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions. Manages Corrective Actions for suppliers. Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions. Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements. Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

§  Assist with PPAP/ISIR and first piece inspection as necessary

§  Handles internal audits per the ISO 9001:2008 requirements

§  Handles routine supplier audits and verifies the effectiveness of their quality system

§  Provides other work related duties and assignments as required

 

Job Requirements

1.      Education and Experience

  • Shall have actual or equivalent of a two-year college degree with 5 years experience in quality control, (2 years in the automotive industry)

2.      Skills

  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, customers & suppliers
  • Team-oriented
  • Strong oral & written communication skills

3.      Computer Skills

  • Microsoft Office preferred, Word and Excel required
  • Windows platform

 

EXTENT OF PUBLIC CONTACT

 

§  Works with customers & suppliers on resolving issues in a timely manner

§  Work with associates on audits, training, and quality awareness

§  May require travel


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

§  Use written (verbal visual) sources of information, e.g. read reports, procedural documentation, blueprints, and reference material

§  Requires vision abilities such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus in order to read documents, operate machines, etc.

§  Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
