Job Description

Summary: The IT Auditor is responsible for gaining an understanding of business process and controls, testing internal controls and working with management to identify solutions to mitigate risk for Champion Homes, as they relate to technology information systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Assist in the planning and development of Information Technology (IT) internal audits.
  • Perform tests of design and operating effectiveness over IT internal controls.
  • Perform tests of design and operating effectiveness over financial controls as necessary.
  • Perform testing of IPE’s for Key controls related to SOX 404 compliance.
  • Conduct audits or lead audit teams in performance of IT audits and reviews of systems, applications and IT processes. Prepare and report results to audit team and management.
  • Develop, build & implement tools to analyze data to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness, including risk assessments. Provide analytics to be used to incorporate best practices in continuous auditing.
  • Work with teams throughout the company to identify process improvements that lead to cost savings or revenue enhancement opportunities.
  • Perform data extraction, analytical testing and security reviews utilizing Audit Command Language and other analytical tools.
  • Identify control issues and best practices.
  • Protect the company from threats by ensuring that IT controls are implemented in the proper locations and working correctly.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Satisfactorily perform all assignments without direct supervision.

    Education and/or Experience                                            

    Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in IT, accounting, finance, information systems or related field or equivalent experience. Two-five years of recent IT auditing, IT Infrastructure/Operations or IT Security and related experience preferred. Experience in financial auditing is a plus.

    Other Qualifications

    Recognized accounting, auditing, or information system certification such as CISA, CPA, CIA, or CISSP.   Must be able to travel 10-25% of the time annually.

     Additional Requirements

  • Experience with Navision a plus.
  • General understanding of these IT concepts: IT infrastructure, servers, networking, IT security, virtual machines, databases, encryption, vulnerability management, penetration testing, data centers, load balancers, identity and access management, cloud services, application development.
  • Familiarity with causes and consequences of common IT risks to data confidentiality, accuracy, and availability.
  • General understanding of how IT systems facilitate business processes.
