Job Description


     Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or ability to obtain certification

     Full-time position serving Medford and Grants Pass areas

     The BCBA provides consultation to parents and others in a child’s life with the goal of reducing occurrences of maladaptive responding and increasing adaptive responding via the acquisition of replacement behaviors.  The BCBA conducts a Functional Behavior Assessment and then creates a treatment plan based on addressing the function of the behavior of concern.  The BCBA provides training to parents and others in the child’s life.  The training focuses on how to prevent and respond to identified behaviors and how to teach new behaviors to the child.  The BCBA also provides support and training to the Behavioral Analyst Interventionist (BAI) who implements the treatment plan.


     Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)


     Write treatment plans based on the results of the FBA


     Write goals and objectives based on the acquisition of replacement skills and the reduction of maladaptive responding (to be included in the treatment plan)


     Train parent and BAIs on the implementation of the treatment plan via modeling, demonstration and feedback methodology


     Conduct frequent integrity assessments to ensure fidelity of implementation on all treatment plans


     Comply with monthly supervision requirements


     Make weekly consultation visits per ABA guidelines; monitor data collection procedures and the results of the treatment plan (i.e. reduction in target behaviors and increase in replacement behavior)


     Ensure paperwork (Incident Reports, Progress Notes) is filled out correctly via the requirements of the organization’s policies

     Complete ongoing training requirements


     Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification (BCBA) or ability to obtain certification within 6-9 months.


     Master’s degree in Psychology or related degree at accredited university and ABA education requirements.


     Computer proficiency required to use Electronic Health Records. Valid OR driver's license and excellent driving record required. Must successfully complete state required background and DMV checks.
