Director of Manufacturing – Mountain West Business Unit
Ridley USA, Inc. is one of the largest commercial animal health nutrition businesses in North America, serving customers mainly in the United States and Canada. Ridley manufactures and markets a full range of animal nutrition products for livestock and poultry breeders and growers who produce meat, dairy and poultry products.
The Hubbard Feeds division of Ridley is seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing with a desire to join a solid leader in animal feed and nutrition. This position reports directly to the President for the U.S. Feed Operations and will provide leadership and direction to 5 plants in the western U.S.
The Director is responsible for the overall manufacturing processes for the assigned plants, including P&L, capital expenditure projects, budgeting, plant manager development and leadership, customer service and retention along with governmental compliance. In addition, the Director plays a key role in supporting and achieving strategic goals and objectives in the areas of safety, LEAN manufacturing, strategic planning and automation. The Director works cooperatively and closely with the General Manager and sales team for the business unit. The Director manages 5 plant managers and will have approximately100 indirect reports.
Qualified candidates will possess:
• Degree in ag, business and/or production management• 7 - 10 years of progressive experience in managing a large full line feed mill• People management & leadership skills• Solid computer, communication and organizational skills • Mechanical knowledge• Budget planning• The ability to travel extensively (more than 50%) • The ability to relocate into the area if not already in the area
