Job Description

We are seeking a Highway / Roadway Constructions Inspectors for projects in Georgia and South Carolina; roadway or structure inspection experience and state inspections certifications a plus. Position is fulltime with benefits, vehicle and hourly rate commensurate to experience and current certifications. A signing and completion bonus may be available.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs and assists with grading, drainage, base, concrete, asphalt, and erosion inspections and sampling for roadway construction projects. Ensures that items, materials, and procedures comply with the latest state DOT Standards and Specifications.
  • Completes all paperwork and reports required. Also includes using all equipment necessary to perform required testing and inspection.
  • Performs field survey verifications for: subgrade, curb and gutter, and drainage items.
  • Job Requirements


      High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 years of construction experience required General knowledge of surveying methods, equipment and material used in highway construction Ability to read and interpret construction plans, contract provisions, and inspection procedures Basic computer skills including use of email, internet, Microsoft office programs Valid drivers' license Good written and verbal communication skills Inspection experience on highway, road, and bridge projects preferred Any state DOT certifications a plus
