We are seeking a DYNAMIC Social Worker to provide Crisis Intervention and Family Support Services to residents of Montgomery County, including community outreach services.


  • Provide direct services to clients including referrals, advocacy, crisis resolution and family support – including but not limited to interviewing, assessing, developing service plans and goals, connecting clients to community resources (including employment, housing, food, social services, educational, health, other), and providing follow up.
  • Maintain complete and accurate case records to include entering data in the database daily.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships among area residents, community agencies, property owners, businesses, schools and churches on behalf of the multicultural community.
  • Provide outreach and network services in the Silver Spring and surrounding communities, including participation in and presenting information at community meetings and events on behalf of the multicultural community.

  • Job Requirements Social Worker (MSW) EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

    • Master’s degree in Social Work.
    • Social Work license in the State of Maryland.
    • 2 years of experience in social services/outreach services in the community.


    • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
    • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
    • Ability to make independent decisions and work under moderate supervision.
    • Demonstrated skills in the use of problem solving techniques.
    • Demonstrated cultural competence and cultural responsiveness.
