This is a unique role where you will be working closely with the company’s CEO and key Managers doing business analysis and writing business requirements for what will often be high-profile projects. Knowledge gained in the process of doing the analysis and writing business requirements will provide insight to monitor the progress of some of these high-profile projects on behalf of the CEO. You will also take a leadership role in documenting Company processes.
Technology Research & Analysis:
You will do research that results in providing management cost analysis and specifications that advise management on purchases Or it may involve the identification of vendors or consultants related to a Company need. Or the analysis may involve interviewing internal staff, Customers, or external consultants to identify and further define the scope of a project. You will execute the purchase and do a hand-off for implementing the product or service with key Company Staff After you are acclimated to the Company, occasionally there will be epic enhancements you will join in the initial business scope meetings with senior managers and SMEs to record business scope (not technical). After a review process of those requirements, you will then:
Hand off the business requirements to our Development Team for them to use to create technical specifications.
Coordinate with the Company's Copy Editor to place the business requirements into marketing materials. And when the enhancement is complete, you will review the in-product help as the representative of the Company’s CEO to confirm it conforms to the initial business scope.
Documenting Company Processes and Procedures:
Maintain and improve the Company's written processes and procedures using state of the art digital tools. This will place you in a facilitative role where you work with Company Managers to insure each Team's processes are documented properly.
Projects: This is a unique role where you will be working closely with the Company’s CEO and key Managers doing business analysis and writing business requirements for what will often be high-profile projects. Knowledge gained in the process of doing the analysis and writing business requirements will provide insight to monitor the progress of some of these high-profile projects on behalf of the CEO. You will also take a leadership role in documenting Company processes.
Minimum Required Career Experience:
3-years' experience as a business analyst or procurement specialist or project manager or have an MBA and 2-years' experience in one of the above.
Required Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of business technology trends. One-year experience using a project management tool such as Microsoft Project. Experience using Excel to create detailed vendor specs or cost-analysis documents (We request you to bring 2-samples of analysis that you have created in Excel). The ability to write detailed information in an organized and concise fashion. The ability to type rapidly to record key project scope in design meetings.
Required Professional Skills:
Strong organization skills and attention to detail. Highly capable of managing multiple projects and priorities. High personal standards that will enable you to earn the respect of others. Excellent listening and writing skills that enable you to interview and facilitate understanding with Company SMEs and then write concise business requirements. The courage to speak the truth to help others to stay focused on scope/goals and the communication skills to facilitate collective wisdom.
Other Valuable Knowledge:
Tools that create process maps such as Visio Microsoft SharePoint Microsoft TFS or similar tools Microsoft InfoPath
Salary and bonus will be commensurate with experience. (Direct Hire, Permanent position)
Client offers a comprehensive benefits program including health insurance, health savings account (HSA) for qualified health care and/or dependent care expenses, life insurance, long term disability insurance, 401K defined benefit pension plan with company match, 3-weeks' vacation after the first year. They are 100% owned by an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). After one-year of service you join the ESOP and will be eligible for stock allocation. The value of these benefits is approximately 15 to 20% of your annual compensation. (Salary plus bonus).
