Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

LOCATION:  Charleston, SC

INDUSTRY:  Aerospace, CNC Machining

SALARY:  up to $93K

Job RequirementsWHAT YOU WILL NEED:

·         B.S. Degree or equivalent experience processing multi-axis CNC machinery.

·         5 plus years of experience working in a high precision close tolerance machining environment.

·         CNC Programming/Cam software is preferred.

·         Knowledge of speeds, feeds cutting tool applications and work holding devices is a must.

·         Gd&T with the ability to interpret complex prints and models is required.

·         Experience processing CNC machine tools such as CNC milling, multi-axis turning with live tooling, mill/turn and grinding ( 5 axis experience is preferred). 


·         Process, program, tool up and develop process documentation.

·         Design or specify work holding devices, fixtures and cutting tools.

·         Update process sheets, work instructions and set up sheets.

·         Identify innovative solutions to improve processes, throughput, quality and best machining practices.

·         Implement solutions to reduce set up time, cycle times and tool cost.

·         Develop and implement effect mistake proofing and poka yokes.

·         Troubleshoot and debug processes using advance problem solving methods.

·         Review M&G code to diagnose and debug CNC programs.

·         Participate on corrective action teams identifying root cause and implementing solutions.

·         Hands on experience supporting the shop floor.
