Sales Account Manager

TYPE:   Technical Sales

INDUSTRY:  Tier One & Two Supplier

LOCATION:  Any location in Midwest / Ohio based facility

SALARY:  up to $110K plus incentives


  • Bachelors’ or Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience selling precision machined components or knowledge of reading complex machined component prints.
  • Previous experience selling to OEM, tier one and two suppliers.
  • Demonstrated technical selling capabilities within customer environment.

    FOCUS:  The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing revenue with existing customers and also develops sources of reverence with new customers.

  • Job Requirements


    • Interact with customers leading all commercial activities negotiations and technical discussions of new machined products.
    • Cultivate positive relationships with customers at all levels of the company.
    • Work directly with customer’s engineering, purchasing, decision makers, administrators and influencers to identify, develop and close new business opportunities.
    • Review customer drawings, concepts, prints and specifications.
    • Understand customer business strategy, decision making process and customer culture to develop a path for new opportunities.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, commercial issues, tool purchases and technical specifications.
    • Manage technical, product quality and commercial activities for assigned customers.
    • Effectively present information to customers and co-workers throughout the organization.
    • Interact internally with teams launching new components and APQP acitfiti3es.
    • Communicate customer needs, expectations and requirements internally.
    • Discover problems and recommend solutions to technical and commercial barriers. 

    TRAVEL:  Travel to customers in the Midwest.  The position requires 40% travel.  The Account Manager will need to be at the manufacturing facility in Lorain County, Ohio approximately every other week.  The candidate can relocate with company assistance or work remotely travel to the plant as needed.
