3PL Inside Sales Manager:
The 3PL Inside Sales Manager will be able to roll up their sleeves and get dirty in the daily mechanics of the industry, including operations and execution of the business. This position will be focused on strategy and development of customer relationships and promotion for the brokerage division. With success, this individual will assume leadership responsibility for a team of sales representatives, monitor day-to-day operations and sales strategy, as well as, employee training and development. This role will act as an advocate and liaison for both their team and the management group, in addition to producing month over month growth.
Hire (in collaboration with HR), onboard & train new & existing Sales Representatives.
Mentor and develop Sales Representatives.
Set expectations and goals for Representatives and hold them accountable.
Assist in creating sales strategy for customer acquisition and revenue goals (resources will be provided to help create the KPI’s & reporting tools).
Drive new sales through organic growth and new customer development.
Focus on promotion of account diversification across all modes and service offered.
Develop and close new business in conjunction with sales staff.
Foster close relationships and develop opportunities with all new and current customers to achieve growth.
Develop and implement sales campaigns to take advantage of market opportunities.
Provide collaboration with the Carrier Sales team to streamline processes.
Prepare presentations and monitor sales leads and responses.
Provide training of assigned staff through active recruitment, training, and quality management activities in conjunction with Human Resources.
Provide responsible supervision and control for all department activities.
Complete, quote, and upload RFI/RFP/RFQ’s for large corporations.
One (1) year or more of brokerage management experience.
Must have proven track record of sales management.
Enjoys mentorship, team-building & training new employees.
Positive attitude & skilled at motivating others.
Strong work ethic – willing to put in the hours.
