Job Description

Seeking a per diem Bilingual Spanish/English Interpreter for our Adult Outpatient Services Program - Responsible for listening to, understanding, and interpreting spoken or written language for monolingual clients at the United Services location in Willimantic, CT.  Convert written materials from English to Spanish or Spanish to English.  Ability to interpret during therapy sessions for monolingual Spanish speaking clients and their English speaking therapists.  Ability to interpret any cultural references, including slang, and other expressions that do not translate literally.  Ability to edit and proofread accurately to reflect the written language.  Ability to organize workload and work with internal staff.  Ability to relay concepts and ideas between languages. 



Schedule: 8-12 hours per week.

 

Minimum Requirements:  High School Diploma.  Medical Interpreter Certificate required.



Salary Range: $15.00 per hour

*This is position is not eligible for benefits.
