Talent Acquisition Manager / Recruiting Manager

Do you love recruiting great people?  Do have a good eye for high quality talent that fits the position?   Do you enjoy traveling? Kum & Go is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to bring talent acquisition experience and world-class sourcing, recruiting and selection techniques for recruiting talent in our stores.


The Talent Acquisition Manager will specialize in store recruiting, providing consulting to District Supervisors, Store Managers, and Human Resources on store hiring needs. The Manager will create strategies to find great store associates in competitive markets like Des Moines, Omaha, and Denver. This position will work with leadership to build a recruiting plan and effective sourcing strategy for new store openings, summer hiring, and hard-to-fill markets. In addition, this role actively sources and recruits all store talent. As needed, the Manager will assist with hiring for corporate positions.


The Manager provides significant contributions and expertise in the following areas: talent acquisition consulting, innovative sourcing strategies, recruitment and selection process, social media tools, process improvement, and employment law. In addition, this role contributes to key projects, such as improvements in the store hiring process, or new sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill markets


Main responsibilities include:

Talent Acquisition for Store Positions:

  • Responsible for collaborating with District Supervisors and General Managers to staff new stores, assist hard-to-fill markets, and summer hiring for hourly store positions.
  • Assists in coaching and training Centralized Training Store hiring managers to improve capability in interviewing and selection.
  • Consults with General Managers to understand talent acquisition needs and provides recommendations on selection criteria.
  • Actively coaches and influences operations leadership on recruiting and selection.
  • Actively sources, recruits, and interviews for store positions
  • Accurately and persuasively represents the company and culture as an ambassador of the organization.
  • Uses strong business acumen to understand and be able to convey to candidates a realistic job preview.
  • Manages and hires contract recruiters, if needed.
  • Project Management:

  • Assists in projects to improve store hiring processes.
  • Travel:

  • Has the ability to travel approximately 40%, if needed


  • Job Requirements

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field required.  PHR certification preferred.
    • Minimum experience target – 5 years – in HR and Talent Acquisition or store leadership with successful track record of recruiting strong talent in hard to fill markets.

    • Experienced traveler with ability and desire to travel up to 40% as needed.
    • Ability to manage contract recruiters
