Job Description Sales Manager

Basic Functions:

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading, training and motivating the sales team that sells a portfolio of website design and internet marketing solutions, meeting or exceeding sales team quotas. The SM will conduct trainings, manage a sales team’s pipeline and provide coaching and support to help their assigned team exceed quotas and goals set by upper management. The SM will lead by example and provide a professional, exciting and challenging environment for their team. Successful candidates will have previous experience as a top producing manager in a fast-paced inside sales environment. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage the new acquisition sales team (50% inbound/50% outbound)
  • Recruit and hire top sales talent to build our currently growing inside sales team
  • Train new and existing sales team on products, sales process, systems and industry knowledge
  • Conduct weekly one on one’s with sales team members to discuss pipeline, goals and coaching advice to accelerate performance
  • Manage sales team’s pipeline through CRM daily and report it weekly to upper management
  • Stay up to date with industry/competitor trends and product offerings to stay educated and ahead of the curve
  • Coach, grade and provide feedback via monitoring phone calls of sales team
  • Handle escalated client calls as needed
  • Create and implement contests and spiffs as needed
  • Provide support and coaching at trade shows to generate revenue and acquire new members resulting in meeting or exceeding trade show quotas
  • Have a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services, industry and client needs
  • Must possess leadership skills and contribute to trainings as requested by management
  • Will provide onboarding training and support for both the new acquisition team and the upsell team

    Requirements:

    • 3+ years of previous experience successfully managing an inside sales team in a fast paced sales environment
    • 3-5 years of experience successfully selling with a sales cycle of less than 90 days
    • Degree from a 4-year university
