  • Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the certified nursing assistants, nurse aide trainees and hospitality aides and 
  • Administers medications accurately and safely to assigned group of residents
  • Transcribes physician orders correctly and completes necessary paperwork to completion     
  • Implements resident education plans when appropriate
  • Delivers appropriate nursing care to individual or groups of residents
  • Utilizes therapeutic verbal and non-verbal interventions with residents        
  • Assists residents in preparing for and attending scheduled activities    
  • Communication with other health care team members 
  • Makes every effort to maintain resident safety, comfort, and peace of mind
  • Assists and teaches the resident to be as self-sufficient as possible                  
  • Practices and oversees good restorative nursing measures      

  • Job Requirements Licensed Practical Nurse Education & Other Duties:
    • Hold a valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in WV
    • Maintain current CPR certification
    • Participate in all supervisory training provided by the Employer.
    • Honor resident’s personal and property rights
    • Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies
    • Communicate needs in regard to equipment, equipment functioning or concerns and supply needs to the appropriate individual
    • Physical demands of this position include walking, sitting, repetitive movement
