Job Description

NOTE:  POSITION WILL BE POSTED IN WILLISTON, VT AND SACO, ME.  HOWEVER, ONLY ONE POSITION WILL BE FILLED.



The primary job responsibilities include developing test plans and reports, conducting regular Technical Data Package (TDP) compliance and process audits, ensuring that all contractual and quality system requirements are understood and flowed to the suppliers, reviewing and maintaining procedures, developing variation reduction plans, and the resolution of internal and external quality issues. The position is also responsible for monitoring and reporting supplier and/or customer quality performance and initiating preventive and corrective action, as required

Job Requirements

The role requires frequent interface with suppliers, manufacturing operations, customers and the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), including communicating results, issues, resolutions, recommendations, etc.  Candidate must be self-motivated, work independently, lead projects and area initiatives, act with integrity, and work collaboratively with customers and all levels  and functions within the organization. 


Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.  CQE (certified quality engineer) or other demonstration of quality experience/knowledge, Understanding of quality  tools/methods, including SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, Auditing, etc. and computer analysis  skills  The person must be capable of traveling frequently.    Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.  Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

6+ years of experience required.  The person must have engineering (quality or other) experience in the defense industry and experience interfacing with customers. 

Preferred qualification:  Significant knowledge/experience with machining operations.

Basic to advanced auditing and inspection method knowledge.  Ability to read and understand technical drawings & specifications (GD&T format). General computer skills including Office suite.  Implementation experience with process improvement tools such as SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, Process Mapping, etc.   Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate results, issues, recommendations, etc.
