Job Requirements•Graduate of an approved School in Physical Therapy and/or Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology or Audiology •Master’s Degree or its equivalent preferred •Licensed to practice in the State of Rhode Island •Thorough knowledge of theory and techniques of therapy evaluation and treatment •Ability to utilize computer technology for data input, generation, retrieval and analysis. •Supervisory ability to coordinate, schedule and evaluate the work of clinical and support staff and students •Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with all levels of the hospital organization, patients, families, and other members of the health care team, staff and outside agencies •Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process EXPERIENCE: •Eight years as a therapist with a thorough knowledge of theory and techniques of therapy evaluation and treatment. •Two years of supervisory experience including student supervision. Reports to the Clinical Manager of Rehabilitation Services. Coordinates, oversees, and develops the inpatient service to ensure quality and timely provision of care to patients. Provides direct patient care, serves as a resource person and assists the Director or Clinical Manager in administrative tasks. Assists with the recruitment, hiring, orientation and assessment of professional and support staff.
