Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for collaborating with Management to develop, implement and deliver training schedules and programs to build technical/machine operation proficiency

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Create, modify and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s);

·         Collaborate cross functionally to implement training recommendations and processes;

·         Collaborate with Plant Department Managers and Supervisors to:

·         Identify and collect specific data to be used in the creation of training and technical documents;

·         Completion of training needs, analysis through assessment, observation and oral questioning;

·         Assist in the development of plant training program for assigned facility:

·         Draft training materials/training manuals, to include pictures, charts, graphs and any other applicable visual aids;

·         Collaborate with other facilities within the company to standardize training efforts;

·         Prepare and distribute instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms and visual aids;

·         Schedule new hires for trainings as applicable for their positions;

·         Test Trainees to evaluate effectiveness of training;

·         Keep up with training developments relating to equipment/processes to maintain accurate information and materials;

Job Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

·         High School Diploma required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred;

·         5+ Years in a high speed manufacturing environment;

·         Ability to create training materials using Microsoft Office or other applications;

·         Thorough knowledge of GMP’s;

·         Ability to learn and train others on the use of company equipment and assets;

·         Knowledge of and ability to proactively recognize and report safety issues or incidences, and maintain a clean, safe, work environment;

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

·         Demonstrated project management and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask and adapt.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL EFFORT:

·         Time split between Plant (production floor) and Office environments;

·         Required to wear personal protective equipment, as needed/required;

·         Constant exposure to hot/cold weather and non-weather related environment;

·         Environment/work areas can be very wet, slippery and they have continuous forklift traffic;

·         Will handle and work around various moving equipment and chemicals.
