Job Description

A global supplier/manufacturer is seeking a purchasing manager of aircraft in CT.

-New vendor development, visit on-site and review capability, capacity, quality system, certifications of the vendor.

-Conduct vendor's RRA(Rate Readiness Assessment), verifying the production capacity, Supply chain, & Production, etc.

-Follow the production and delivery schedule of vendors by e-mail, telephone conference.

-Evaluate Vendor performance, delivery, quality, and cost, and share with the HQ in Japan.

-Resolve the claim issue discussing and negotiating with vendors.

-Business trip to vendors to follow up the status, expedite the process.

-Vendors’ periodical on-site survey, to confirm its capacity, and capability of the vendors.

-Establish and maintain database of vendor information, include certification status of each vendor.

-Negotiate business conditions with vendors, price, delivery date, etc.

-Create and maintain RFQ documents requesting quotation to vendors.

-Delivery arrangement with forwarder company.

-Share the latest situation of vendors to the HQ in Japan regularly.

-Perform such other duties that may be required from time to time by the company.

 


Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university is required; engineering degree is preferred.
  • More than 1 year of working experience in Aerospace industry.
  • Working experience as a buyer, procurement, and/or sales is required.
  • Japanese language skills is a big plus, but not necessary.
