Job Description Alaska USA is currently recruiting for a Problem Resolution Analyst III who provides expert problem resolution for enterprise servers and network operating systems. The candidate will design and implement complex solutions for server integration and file transfers. Diagnose complex network hardware and software configuration problems and perform corrective actions. They will also provide project management support and coordination for enterprise server and application solutions and perform all other duties as assigned.

  • SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Problem Resolution Analyst II duties and responsibilities.
  • Design and implement complex solutions for server integration and file transfers.
  • Diagnose complex network hardware and software configuration problems and performs corrective actions.
  • Perform routine maintenance for network server platforms to ensure all servers are at current release levels for operating systems.
  • Perform complex scripting related to tailoring and integration of computer operating system platforms.
  • Provide project management support and coordination for enterprise server and application solutions.
  • Assist in training Problem Resolution Analyst II, I and Trainee positions.
  • Maintain current professional and technical knowledge pertaining to industry standards and best practices in the field.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Job Requirements EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

    • Six years demonstrable experience managing and implementing enterprise systems.
    • Three years experience as a Problem Resolution Analyst II, or equivalent experience or training.
    • MCSE/AIX Unix or other advanced IT certification required.
    • Must have working knowledge of mainframe operating systems, client/server networking, multi-protocols, scripting languages, databases and tools.
    • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills required.
    • This position requires a valid driver’s license, acceptable and insurable driving record, pre-employment and random drug testing

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.

    CREDITABLE EXPERIENCE IN LIEU OF EDUCATION:

    • Equivalent technical training and/or work experience.
