Contract sales position within the Inside Sales team for Merck Animal Health Cattle division focusing on cattle products.
Candidate will work closely with Cattle Marketing Services and Regional Manager to identify target area(s). Candidate is responsible for contacting customers via the telephone to initiate sales relationships and promote, position, and sell the cattle line of products. Inside Sales representative will be accountable for developing and maintaining account relationships and managing account growth for assigned veterinarian, producer, or dealer. The Inside Sales representative is responsible for communicating pertinent information to Cattle Marketing Services and the Regional Manager for the territory assigned. The goal is to expand product knowledge, expand market penetration, and acquire/maintain sales. Performance is measured on sales goal achievement vs. goal, as well as targeted promotions and other performance standards consistent with operating objectives
