Job Description

Our client is a worldwide general contractor that specializes in federal, state and municipalities contract work. They are a U.S. corporation. This position will manage federal contract projects on an island located in the Pacific.. These are large projects with marine construction.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Provide overall project management to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget while incorporating company policies and standards. Establish and maintain good working relationships with Co-workers, Owner, Suppliers and Subcontractors. Perform all work in a safe and professional manner. Establish and maintain good working relationships and communications with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, co-workers, and management.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  1. Project Planning
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the entire scope of work including contracts, plans, specifications, schedule, budget, logistics, labor, materials, equipment, submittal requirements, quality control, Rental/licensing requirements, required permits, safety, and other project requirements. Identify areas of potential savings and possible trouble areas.
  • Oversee and actively coordinate design processes with Architectural and Engineering firms as necessary to ensure final designs align with costs and schedule objectives established in the cost estimate while satisfying contract requirements.
  • Assist PMC in creating Primavera Project Planner baseline schedules.
    1. Project Execution
  • Direct, manage, and implement project execution plan.
  • Acquire, develop, and manage the project team based on manpower requirements and required qualifications and skills
    1. Monitoring and Controlling Project Work
  • Verify work performed is within project scope.
  • Implement Cost Management Plan to ensure project is proceeding on our under budget.
  • Prepare current estimate, cost to complete, and revenue/expenditure projections.
  • SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree, 10+ years experience in managing and supervising construction projects over 30M with marine, pier or wharf open water.
  • Hands on, self-performing, pile driving, sheet piles, H-Piles, experience on USACE projects/Federal DOD.
