Serves as a mentor to peers and team members and performs complex work assignments and problem resolution to support organizational accounting processes through one or more of the following activities: journal entries, account reconciliations, General Ledger, financial statement preparation, audit support and coordination, reporting and analysis, and/or portfolio administration.

Job Duties:

  • Mentor and develop staff
  • Work in areas of month end close, financial and data analysis, reconciliations and research.
  • Guides and oversees team members and accounting processes.
  • Leads financial, management and regulatory reporting and related audit support. Guides and oversees team members and reporting processes.
  • Plans and prioritizes maintenance and development of processes, procedures, tools and resources.
  • Serves as a business partner to management and subject matter expert. Facilitates relationships with business partners.
  • Facilitates and reviews internal controls to ensure an effective and efficient financial system.
  • Participate in various projects and process improvements within the fast-growing Fortune Company.
  • Job Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 5+ years relevant work experience
    • Proficiency in applicable Microsoft Office applications
    • Advanced knowledge of financial analysis
    • Advanced knowledge of relevant technical (accounting)
    • Experience with accounting and reporting for mutual funds and mutual fund operations and administration a plus
    • Experience performing standard accounting functions including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations and preparing financial results for internal and external purposes or other similar experience.
