Manages the delivery of services relating to multiple technologies in one or more of the following information technology areas: system administration, network support, operating systems support, systems design and/or implementation, telecommunications systems, instructional technology, pharmacy technology and user/client services. Serves as Liaison to outside departments, universities and vendors. Is expected to fulfill duties of subordinates, personally, if necessary.
Provides advice to upper management and has direct responsibility for project and/or unit management, human resources and budget administration.
May provide or coordinate on-call support for designated systems or services. This position may require some travel and non-traditional hours and also supervises others with full supervisory responsibility.

Entry into the applicant pool requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Management, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a relevant field; five (5) years of experience in management, project management, project planning, and budgeting; and knowledge of information technology principles and applications, computer system management methodologies and new technologies. Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience.
