Job Description Staffing Manager/Recruiter

  • Manages the recruitment/search process
  • Screens applications and interviews candidates to determine candidate qualifications
  • Pre-qualifies candidates through evaluation and testing
  • Enters and updates on a timely basis, accurate information in database of clients and candidates
  • Makes daily phone calls to perspective candidates
  • Performs reference checks, background checks and employment verifications to determine candidates’ previous work performance, criminal history and employment history
  • Places appropriate candidates to fulfill client requirements
  • Develops strong client and candidate relationships and maintains communication with both
  • Tours facilities as necessary to properly match temporary employees, review safety issues and address employee relations issues
  • Performs required marketing calls (50 to 100 per day) to market existing temporaries and clients and prospects and qualifies accounts
  • Prepares and posts various types of advertisements for open requisitions
  • Searches career websites to locate prospective candidates
  • Assists with the unemployment and worker’s compensation claim processing
  • Performs other duties as assigned
