Job Description:

The Quality Assurance Manager plans, coordinates, creates and directs production Quality Assurance programs. Manages workers engaged in Inspection & Testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Quality Department Programs. Responsibilities also include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Develops and manages the Quality Assurance program.
  • Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
  • Formulates and maintains Quality Assurance objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material, and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
  • Ensures a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigates and corrects customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
  • Facilitates implementation of process control systems and statistical process control charts.
  • Designs and implements methods for process control, process improvement, testing, inspection criteria and procedures.
  • Reports to Management on quality issues, trends and losses.
  • Interfaces with Supplier and Customer Quality Representatives concerning problems with Quality Assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
  • Job Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance management and program development.
    • Ability to develop and analyze statistical data and technical product specifications.
    • Strong background in process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
    • Strong people management skills including experience interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, and performance evaluation.
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Bachelor's degree from and accredited College or University
    • ASQ Certification preferred.
    • Available to travel if required.
