We are currently seeking a REPAIR TECHNICIAN/CUSTOMER SUPPORT who will take ownership of the rental tool room environment and communicates with the rental group regarding recommendations, providing solutions, being a forward thinker, team player, well organized and possess the ability to assist the department towards growth.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Repairs and maintains tools, pumps and equipment requiring mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic repair and performs preventive maintenance services.  
  • Pretesting of hydraulic/pneumatic pumps, tools and links for the sole purpose of proper form, fit and function.
  • The job involves trouble-shooting, tearing down, repairing, reassembling and testing pumps, motors and tools in shop.
  • Works with sales and service team members, engineers and customers to meet the growing day to day repair requirements.
  • Checks tools for safety decals and safe operating features and maintains an accurate schedule and record of maintenance.
  • Assist in managing daily office operations including but not limited to:

  • Assists in familiarizing and training customers on tool operation and maintenance over the phone or in person.
  • Demonstrates orientation toward excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications and interactions in a cooperative, positive and professional manner.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to company needs and move within departments as needed
  • A good mechanical aptitude and being a self-starter is essential
  • Update and maintain client records and respond to emails
  • Will learn all shop environment which includes, inventory of existing rental demo equip; procuring and maintaining parts. Certified and learn every single aspect of a warehouse environment.

    Job Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum three (3) years of experience in repairing and maintaining tools and/or equipment.
    • Ability to diagnose and successfully repair equipment or tools and plan a logical approach to troubleshooting and prioritizing workload.
    • Computer proficiency and excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to type professional correspondence via email.
    • Must have and be able to use their own set of basic tools.
    • Demonstrated ability to work with hands and to work in mechanically oriented situations.
    • Must be a dependable team player with high energy and a strong commitment to quality output.
    • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
    • Ability to routinely lift 25-75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater lbs.
    • Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching and reaching.
    • Must be able to wear protective equipment as needed.
    • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Must have clean and valid driver’s license.
