We currently have a great assignment for a Senior Project Manager (Construction) with one of our top clients. As a Senior Project Manager (Construction), you will be supporting our client, a large, full service general constructing firm.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager (Construction) is responsible for the complete and satisfactory execution of the entire construction project.  The Senior Project Manager (Construction) serves as the focal point for coordination of all project information between the field, office, senior management and the entire project team. The Senior Project Manager (Construction) provides leadership, support, and training to the project team, to include:

  • Assisting in the development of project staffing plan and assignments
  • Organizing and overseeing job site administration
  • Assisting in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Overseeing subcontractors’ quality of work and coordination among trades
  • Assuring that job safety and security systems are in place and operating
  • Assuring that all materials are delivered properly and on time (submittal and procurement procedures)
  • Developing, monitoring and updating project schedule
  • Overseeing subcontractor schedules
  • Establishing and managing project specific cost control systems
  • Monitoring cost reports for adherence to budgets
  • Approving payments to subcontractors
  • Providing timely submission of invoices
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with all project participants
  • Establishing, managing and seeing that project specific information systems are maintained
  • Job RequirementsSpecific qualifications for the Senior Project Manager (Construction) role include:

    • B.S. degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Management
    • Minimum of ten years of construction management experience in commercial, institutional and government building construction
    • Working knowledge of construction project management software; knowledge of Procure and P6 scheduling is preferred
    • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously, in varying capacities and different phases / stages of development on projects ranging in size from $10M to $175M
