Job Description Mid-Atlantic Environmental Laboratories, Inc. is a full service NELAC certified environmental laboratory providing analysis work for clients based in DE, NJ, PA, MD, NY and VA. We are strategically located in Norther Delaware to better facilitate all our clients.

Mid-Atlantic Environmental Laboratories, Inc. is actively seeking a qualified candidate for our full time Quality Assurance / Quality Control Director position.

Applicant must have a minimum of Bachelors (BA/BS) in Chemistry, Biology, or Related field.

At least 5 years QA/QC Director experience is preferred, or currently working in an Environmental Laboratory.

Job Requirements

QA/QC Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Thorough understanding of NELAC TNI manual for Laboratory Sector.

  • Prior experience in State and NELAC assessments (audits) helpful.
  • Review of all data generated by analysts to maintain compliance with quality control set by EPA methodologies.
  • Able to organize and maintain all laboratory records both electronically and hard copies.
  • Able to generate, implement, and update Standard Operating Procedures per EPA/NELAC guidelines.
  • Able to calibrate and maintain data for all laboratory related equipment used on a daily basis per NELAC protocol.
  • Able to produce, evaluate, and provide feedback on complex environmental related analysis per clients requirement.
  • Conduct monthly QA/QC meetings to address any updates and concerns regarding laboratory practices.
  • Knowledge of LIMS and report generation.
  • Able to communicate with State Department of Environmental Protection officials and clients is a must.
  • Experience with Gas Chromatography¬† / MS, FID, and ECD a must.
  • Experience with ICP and ICP/MS helpful.
  • Must have ability to work independently and as well as in a team with a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of Office Suite is a must.
