Job Description

Position Description: 

  • AD - Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects within AD.
  • Taking accountability for the end to end planning and delivery of projects
  • Developing project charters and plans
  • Coordinating disparate project teams
  • Managing issues and risk including the development of contingency plans
  • Establishing strong working relationship with project stakeholders such that plans and requirements are fully understood and issues are resolved effectively and efficiently
  • Communicating project status information, issues and risks to stakeholders as appropriate
  • Following appropriate change control and configuration management
  • Delivering on time, on budget and to quality In addition participating in the AD PMO group and taking specific responsibility for key objectives to drive the group forward, including:
  • Adherence to standard project management best practices
  • Process improvement and adherence to CPMM standards
  • Providing mentoring support or practical assistance to other PMO members
  • Active participation in the AD PMO providing feedback and developing enhancements for the benefit of the community
  • Helping to drive global PM practice and tool improvements 
  • Job Requirements

    Required: 

    • Previous software delivery project management and/or team leader experience
    • High degree of self-motivation and ability to operate with limited supervision
    • Results orientated with a customer focused attitude
    • Strong organizational and facilitation skills
    • Ability to prioritize and manage a variable workload
    • Strong interpersonal skills across all levels of personnel
    • Ability to learn technical/system details where appropriate
    • Knowledge and experience of:
    • SDM
    • MS Project / Schedule Management
    • Issue and Risk Management
    • Scope Management
    • ISP/Security and Controls
    • Cross functional and cross regional teams
    • Knowledge of AGILE methodologies
    • Experience with Clarity Project Management tool
    • Experience of managing project/program finances including estimating (SEER) and forecasting (DORF)
    • PMI certification as a Project Management Professional, a plus, but not required
    • Experience with Rally/Agile Central

    Education Required: 

    Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in computer science or related discipline
