POSITION: ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
EFFECTIVE: Upon selection
EXPECTED STARTING BI-WEEKLY SALARY: $1,557 - $1,869

JOB DUTIES: With minimal supervision, the individual filling this position must perform accurate
complex technical engineering related work for public works projects and programs which
would include drafting, design and creation of working drawings related to water, sewer,
storm sewer, curb and gutter, and street profiles, etc., inspection, and surveying; be capable
of working independently; able to run mathematical closures to determine shape, area and
accuracy of survey descriptions; prepare legal descriptions and update existing reference
maps and create plans for new projects. The position includes a combination of office and
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent; a 2-year college
degree and/or a technical certification; a valid driver's license; and two years of work
experience in drafting, inspections, testing and surveying, Knowledge of the following areas
is required: CAD software, Civil Engineering concepts or related field, the use of a desktop
computer including Microsoft Office software or any equivalent combination of experience
and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
