Job Description

Shift: 2nd (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm)

Pay: Starting pay dependent on experience/Shift differential is 1.50 per hour

Responsible for:

  • Machine maintenance
  • Tools
  • Safety
  • Quality
  • Maintaining welding equipment
  • Maintaining and utilization of a milling machine beneficial
  • Maintaining and utilization of a band saw beneficial
  • Duties:

  • Have a good understanding of manufacturing equipment and how it works
  • Be able to safely use power tools
  • Be able to work on a variety of different types of equipment
  • Be able to fix common problems quickly and efficiently
  • Basic electrical safety and some skills to fix common electrical issues
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills and the safety surrounding that equipment
  • Be able to safely operate machine centered equipment
  • Knows how to prioritize jobs and tasks
  • Understands production needs
  • Maintains a clean work area and t tools
  • Flexible
  • Team orientated
  • Self motivated, work with little supervision
  • Good trouble shooting skills.
  • Job Requirements

     

    • Previous experience in maintenance/industrial mechanic role
    • Knowledge of PLC/s, AC/DC motors, lights, switches, relays preferred but not required
    • Ability to set-up, tear-down, rebuild and repair high speed machines
    • Must be able to read, write and do simple math calculations
    • Must be able to enter data into the computer system manually or by electronic scanner
    • Must have the ability to follow directions and safety procedures
    • Must have the ability to operate lift equipment either pallet jack or lift truck and battery controlled lifts.
    • Have the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Be able to stand or walk 90% of the workday
    • Be able to lift, squat, bend or reach 80% of the workday
    • Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from 60 degrees to 90+ degrees depending on the season and department
    • Safety shoes, safety glasses , cut resistant gloves and hearing protection
