The responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician are to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and physical plant components to support the operation of Superior Linen's production facility. You will perform work on a variety of equipment, including but not limited to, hydraulic pumps and motors, electrical pumps and motors, variable drives, PLCs, electronic control circuitry, pneumatic systems, and other mechanical systems. You will also perform preventative maintenance inspections designed to extend the life of equipment, identify faults with equipment, and identify parts needing replacement. Preventative maintenance includes cleaning, lubricating, inspecting and adjusting equipment. Further, you will at times be responsible for daily plant start-up or shut-down, which includes tasks such as properly energizing or de-energizing all equipment, completing necessary repairs, conducting walk-throughs of the plant, responding to requests for maintenance, and securing plant and property at the end of operations.
High school diploma is required.
Minimum of 2 years maintenance engineering experience, and specific knowledge of machinery, electricity, electronics, plumbing and welding.
Ability to handle physical requirements, including but not limited to, repeated bending, stooping, pulling, stretching, twisting, and lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Possesses strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Organized with strong time management skills.
A good communicator able to work through problems with other team members or equipment vendors.
Able to complete work-order paperwork to document work performed.
Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical circuitry, single phase, three phase.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, blueprints, and parts diagrams.
Basic computer literacy.
1st shift with some Saturday work.
The successful candidate must be able to comprehend English, read English, and write English legibly.
