Bonaventure Senior Living is excited to announce an opportunity to add a new team member to our Accounting Team in Salem, OR!


Our Home Office Team is made up of remarkable individuals that support our senior communities so that they can provide our residents with the Bonaventure Retirement Perfected lifestyle.  We are excited that due to an internal promotion we are able to open this rare opportunity of adding a new Staff Accountant.


Our Staff Accountants are experts at the application of accounting principles. To be considered as a candidate you must show above average proficiency in accounting procedures and have a strong project accounting knowledge base.

 

Summary of duties:

  • Completion of account reconciliations
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Preparation and posting of general journal entries
  • Perform month-end close
  • Assist with preparation of month-end financial reports
  • Review, process and bill carpet replacement invoices
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Prepare month end and year end financials
  • Prepare package to be sent to CPAs for tax returns
  • Miscellaneous and special projects as needed and assigned

  • Job RequirementsQualifications:

    • Strong communication skills with a strong attention to detail
    • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be able to work independently as well as with a team
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
    • 10-key and typing skills
    • Highly organized and sensitive to confidentiality
     

     

    Experience & Education:

    • Two years of formal college level accounting education or Accounting Degree preferred
    • Prior experience in the processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entries and general ledger transactions a plus
