Job Description

Global company with a respected brand recognized around the world is seeking a Manager Technical Accounting & Policy due to a recent promotion.  This is an exciting time to join the team, as this role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact and be on the forefront of strategic events taking place within the company. Responsibilities:
  • Research new accounting guidance from the FASB, SEC and other regulatory bodies, including evaluating the financial and operational impact of new standards on the Company’s financial statements and operations
  • Assistance with the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including statements of comprehensive income and cash flows
  • Participating in the preparation and review of quarterly earnings releases and related schedules, including investor relations presentations
  • Assistance with preparation of Audit Committee and Board presentations
  • Maintain and update Company-wide accounting and finance policies as necessary, including creation of new policies for newly adopted accounting standards
  • Support accounting and finance teams on technical issues including communication and training on new accounting guidance or new corporate policies
  • Assistance in the management of SOX 404 process, as it relates to Financial Reporting
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Job Requirements

    As the Manager of Technical Accounting you will provide technical accounting guidance on complex accounting issues and transactions as well as play a key role in understanding and adopting new accounting literature. Additionally, you will help prepare SEC filings, press releases, Board presentations, and other reporting and analytic needs of the organization.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience with at least 4 years in Big 4 public accounting
    • CPA 
    • Strong understanding of GAAP and the ability to clearly document, communicate and present complex accounting and reporting issues to finance and non-finance management
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize and handle multiple tasks
    • Critical thinker who can foresee potential obstacles and propose alternative approaches
    • Experience building relationships and working directly with senior executives
