Job Description

We are currently hiring an Employee Benefits Administrator for our corporate office

 

The Employee Benefits Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of high volume, nationwide support to external clients and their employees on various employee benefit plans, policies and practices.

The successful candidate must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for specific clients and their employees pertaining to benefits
  • Provide full service, day-to-day administration of client benefit programs, policies and practices
  • Responsible for transitioning all client and employee benefits information and required documents to paperless environment; day-to-day maintenance and upkeep
  • Provides day-to-day clerical and administrative support to Benefits Manager and benefits staff including special projects
  • Administer mid to high level insurance carrier bill reconciliation
  • Data entry of enrollment, changes and cancellations into various benefit plans in HRIS and ensures accuracy of deductions
  • Administer and reconcile monthly reports
  • Provide claim problem resolution and work directly with internal brokerage team or external client broker
  • Provide coordination and assistance to external clients and employees for annual open enrollment of company sponsored benefit programs and/or client sponsored benefit programs
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned by the Benefits Manager
  • Job Requirements

    Requirements

    • A minimum of three - five (3-5) years of hands on experience in full service, multi-state benefits administration
    • A minimum of three - five (3-5) years of hands on administering and/or managing benefits administration for multiple clients with multiple plans in multiple states
    • Knowledge of general accounting and recordkeeping methods
    • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations relating to employee benefits administration and/or other Human Resource areas
    • Strong working knowledge and use of Internet, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
    • Professional phone presence and ability to “connect" with our clients
    • Experience with HR Pyramid and knowledge of PEO industry are preferred, but not required
    • Must have experience and be knowledgeable in one or more areas of benefits including COBRA, HIPAA, FSA, 401k and Compliance
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Ability to handle multiple projects at once with strong attention to detail
