REMOTE - Senior Implementation Specialist – Higher Ed Industry Experience ONLY


Job Summary

The Senior Implementation Consultant will provide strategic oversight with analysis of customer needs, participation in the design of business process requirements and will be responsible for the completeness and quality of functional design. This role will also translate business requirements into solution design and functional requirements and will be responsible for documenting the proprietary software configuration.  Travel is required.


The ideal candidate is someone who has worked with a SaaS or ERP on many Higher Ed implementations. Higher Ed IT industry experience is required!

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level estimates for design and implementation efforts along with communicating status of issues and impacts with relevant client sponsors and process owners
  • Assist in the analysis and documentation of as-is capabilities about business processes, people, technology, etc.
  • Assist in the development and testing of new business processes, capabilities and, as appropriate, supporting technologies
  • Perform GAP analysis to determine customization and project planning purposes
  • Develop deployment deliverables (communications, training, etc.)
  • Perform application design activities (e.g., writing functional designs)
  • Perform portions of technology architecture and infrastructure design activities
  • Oversight of technology build, test and deployment activities
  • Conduct application training for customers and provide appropriate documentation for follow up
  • Research and retrieve information needed to serve client needs
  • Support improvements in Agresso Implementation Methodology (AIM), collateral and practices by recommending changes to business process templates, systems configuration guides and implementation procedures
  • Deliver a high level of commitment to client success and provide timely and quality services that meet or exceed expectations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer environment problems
  • Act as a mentor/coach to other Implementation Consultants and supports the team



Qualifications

  • Experience working in a project environment to produce a product or service within a specified timeframe and budget.
  • Consulting skills and demonstrated experience in building strong customer relationships
  • Ability to interpret client business requirements to build a solution.  Shows good judgment, problem solving and ability to interpret/adapt solutions or approaches when formulating responses to issues or concerns.
  • Experience in Business Process Analysis & Design
  • Knowledge of business intelligence and reporting tools preferred
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with senior levels of the organization (internal and external). 
  • Strong relationship management, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence actions and gain the support of others to meet objectives.
  • Able to use a wide variety of tools including MS Office, Excel, Access and PowerPoint; MS Project and Visio an asset;
  • Excellent analytical skills, data management and reporting capability. 


Required

3+ years of experience implementing Agresso Business World (ABW) OR

3+ years of experience with ERP business processes, preferably with Project Costing & Billing, Procurement, and/or HR/Payroll experience and 6+ years of experience in Financial and/or Business Consulting

Ability to travel extensively, including international as required

Holds a valid driver’s license (or can obtain one by start date)

Holds a valid passport (or can obtain one by start date) 


Assets

Project Management Designation (PMP)

Degree or Accounting Designation (e.g. CMA, CGA, CA, CPA)

Ideal candidate has experience in higher education, travel, nonprofit, local government or engineering

Requirements:            May be up to 75%.  Candidates must possess a valid passport and driver's license and be able to travel throughout North America.
