We're currently looking for a Body Process Engineer 3 to join our team at in Canton, MS.

The roles and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Analyze model specifications for manufacturability and identify improvement opportunities related to vehicle quality, vehicle function, process feasibility, ergonomics, and safety.
  • Problem analysis, present recommendations, specification development and project planning (including target setting, task definition and scheduling).
  • Initiate preventative and continuous improvement actions relating to product, process, and quality systems.
  • Report generation, project progress tracking and control, and results presentations to management.
  • Communicates with suppliers, manufacturing plants, and other Nissan affiliates to propose and implement countermeasures for quality, manufacturing, and field concerns within assigned area.
  • Assists manufacturing plants and suppliers in identifying cost saving methods while improving quality.
  • Production support as necessary.

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering from an accredited university (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Technology) from an ABET accredited engineering program required.
  • A minimum of five years of assembly process and equipment development / installation related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of quality control assessment such as statistical process control.
  • Ability to understand part, sub-assembly or system dimensional layouts. • Ability to work effectively in teams and on a self-directed basis.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent technical oral/written communication
  • Must be open and willing to travel to both foreign and domestic locations.
