We are currently looking for an IT Intern to join our Information Technology team based in Reston, VA.  Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, the IT Intern will be responsible for assisting the technical staff and other support personnel as necessary. Responsibilities include assisting with desktop support, network support, and mobile device configuration and administration.  This will be a challenging position in a dynamic team oriented environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 desktop/network support
  • Provide break fix services for laptops, desktops and mobile computing devices
  • Provide mobile device support
  • Image creation and distribution (Symantec Ghost, etc…)
  • Must be willing to fulfill a 4 to 6 month commitment of employment
  • Qualifications


  • Preferred candidates should be working towards the completion of a BA/BS or MS degree in computer science or similar degree.
  • Work Experience:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003 operating systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and general knowledge of Windows applications
  • Remote PC trouble resolution
  • Image creation and distribution (Symantec Ghost, etc…)
  • PC hardware and software configuration skills, preferably with Dell, IBM, and HP/Compaq PCs and Laptops
  • Understanding of the following concepts:  IP, DHCP, WINS, and DNS
  • Basic knowledge of mobile computing devices (Blackberry and Windows/Apple Mobile devices)
  • Job Skills:
