Accountemps seeks a Payroll Administrator for payroll processing to fill a role with a company in the Engineering field. Responsibilities: - Perform other tasks as necessary - Detail all payroll liabilities by establishing employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payment - Exercise review and verification of source documents - Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data - Track payroll record changes by entering updates in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Take charge of all questions and requests related to payroll - Reconcile employee deductions and other liabilities as needed - Report needed changes after maintaining payroll operations according to established policies and procedures - Draft reports by organizing all summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages - Continue employee confidence in payroll operations by keeping sensitive information confidential - Using federal and state regulations and guidelines, ensure company compliance - Execute relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports to circulate amongst department heads - Provide help with all internal and external audits of payroll - Collect and analyze information including resolving payroll discrepancies
Job Requirements- Accurate, swift, data entry abilities - General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred - Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes - Proficient knowledge of basic accounting principles - Proficient with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
