Compensation: $120,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year

My client based in North Atlanta is looking for a Director of Accounting to lead their Accounting team. This position reports to the VP of Finance with responsibility for leading monthly consolidation, treasury and financial reporting for the company. The most important part of the position is to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting of monthly results and ensure compliance by the business units accounting guidelines. The position will also manage monthly cash flow forecasting within the business unit.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting of monthly results.
  • Manage monthly P L and cash flow forecasting processes for company.
  • Act as interface with parent finance organization with regards to questions, issues, reporting requirements.
  • Support treasury functions of the company as required.

  • Job Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
    • CPA Certification strongly preferred
    • 10 – 15 years progressive experience in general accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, budgeting and forecasting
    • Experience managing reporting and consolidations in multinational company with foreign subsidiaries strongly preferred
    • Experience with SAP, Hyperion or other financial reporting software a plus
    • Previous working relationship with foreign parent company finance organization a plus
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
    • Able to apply technical expertise in finance and accounting to provide oversight and guidance
    • Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others
    • Able to constructively work in a very demanding performance oriented work environment with high workloads and deadlines
    • Able to express ideas clearly and convey necessary information
    • Able to interact effectively with all levels of management
    • Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency
    • Able to serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues
    • Analytical and organized with relentless attention to detail
    • Strong intellectual curiosity and affinity for numbers
    • Proven record of working effectively with senior leadership
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and proficiency to use them effectively
