Business Systems Analyst Responsibilities

The Business Systems Analyst position will help to design, implement, and maintain Information Systems solutions for the ResCare and its affiliates. This position will provide support for multiple applications and will optimize the use of these systems for the Residential IDD, HomeCare IDD, and SeniorCare markets. The incumbent will support multiple areas and teams and will be responsible for the technical setup of the applications to meet specific end user requirements. This position will also work closely with administrators, directors, managers, and Resource Center staff to maximize the efficient and effective use of the systems as they relate to end user productivity and satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • System administration to include configuring, implementing, monitoring, and testing of all related applications
  • Application support including troubleshooting issues and clearly reporting them to technical staff and/or vendor(s) as necessary
  • Be a liaison with the ResCare training team for all end user roles with an emphasis on providing optimal user efficiency and proficiency
  • Create, organize, and update documentation of newer versions and updates of the application as necessary 
  • Attain and maintain knowledge about department practices, procedures, workflows, including providing focused support on applications where appropriate to enhance end user abilities and capabilities with the system
  • Assist with observing and assessing user skills, and provide assessments to ResCare training team to improve training program outcomes
  • Provide observations and recommendations to departments regarding strategies to improve user satisfaction and increase efficiencies.
  • Works as liaison to Infrastructure team for issues related to connectivity and performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Specific Requirements

  • Education:
    o   Intermediate: AA/AS in Computer Science or related field with 2-4 years of progressive experience in an enterprise healthcare setting
  • Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis
  • Previous experience in an enterprise healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
  • Significant experience in workflow design/redesign, information systems, and/or systems analysis and design experience strongly desired.
  • Certifications/Licenses: None
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Initiative, self-starter, problem identification, resolution and analytical skills are essential
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Strong critical thinking and the ability to apply knowledge within a complex environment is essential
  • An understanding of revenue cycle and clinical workflows and processes is required
  • Previous healthcare experience is required
  • Scheduling flexibility is required to accommodate changing business needs
  • Additional Information

    This position will focus on supporting the QuickBase platform. Requires prior experience working with QuickBase.
