Job Description

Carriage Green at Milford is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse who is passionate about providing seniors with quality care in a home like setting. If you are personable, enthusiastic, and dynamic then we want you to oversee the quality of resident care within one of our communities and ensure that it is in compliance with all company policies and state regulations. Job Responsibilities

As an Assisted Living Wellness Director for Benchmark Senior Living, you will be responsible for the quality of resident care at your facility. You will also appropriately schedule employees including Nurses, Aides and other staff members to ensure that there are enough people to provide adequate care for our seniors.
Additional responsibilities for the Assisted Living Wellness Director include:
* Communicating with families and friends of residents
* Assuring compliance with all resident care related regulations (e.g., medication management)
* Documenting and providing accurate record-keeping, as appropriate
* Demonstrating personal/resident safety methods and procedures
* Taking corrective action and disciplining employees in writing, if necessary
* Representing Benchmark Senior Living with pride and knowledge so as to educate outside groups and organizations



As an Assisted Living Wellness Director for Benchmark Senior Living, you must be approachable as well as flexible and professional with your staff, residents and family members. You must also demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of Benchmark Standards and Practices before assuming your position as Assisted Living Wellness Director.
Additional requirements of the Assisted Living Wellness Director include:

* Being a Registered Nurse, per state regulations; Bachelor's degree in Nursing a plus
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a care setting; Assisted Living/Home Care or Hospice setting experience a plus
* Certified in Gerontology through the American Nurses Credentialing Association a plus
* Knowledge of Dementia care a plus
* Ability to lift 50 pounds individually
* Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
