Job Description

Title: Network Activation

Location: Littleton, CO 

Contract: 12+ months 

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Specialized technician managing customized design and service delivery of high end Ethernet Services.
  • Assesses customer requirements and develops custom solutions for the end user application.
  • Serve as primary central point of contact for customers on complex orders within the service delivery organization.
  • Manages alternate order completion and closure processes with assistance from the Sales account teams.
  • Uses software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose network status and problems; conducts complex network monitoring equipment installation and activities; resolves complex trouble tickets.
  • Manages a wide variety of order types and is required to continue to expand knowledge on new technology and complex order types.
  • Understands complex circuit design or configuration of command line operation for Broadband and Ethernet services and related devices.
  • Initiates and executes cross connect requests, or transport coordination activities with a variety of vendors.
  • Coordinates with other departments, vendors and customers to ensure on-time delivery of service.
  • Associate degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Min 7 - 9 yrs. related experience in specific area or equivalent.  Technical certification highly desirable.
  • Ideal candidate has efficient knowledge within DWDM; Fujitsu; CIENA; Nortel; Infinera; Cisco; Optera; Tellabs; Lambda Unite and Xtreme; CoreStream and various Router / Frame / ATM support.
  • Desirable experience also includes hands-on installation, maintenance, and tuning of data communication system software components, hardware/software operating in a networked environment.
